Aopen BIOS Reference
Aopen provide excellent support for their retail products, and are among the top ten mainstream makers.
No problem finding what you need at the Aopen web site in most cases.
Have only had cause to write to Aopen support on one occasion as their support is usually very good and complete.
I received a very prompt and courteous reply from them, along with a very quick resolution to the problem my customer was experiencing. Aopens expertise and willingness to help is outstanding, and not typical of all makers.
All emails get answered in time but be patient, the language barrier does cause a slight delay which is no surprise.

Both the XCcube EU965 and the EU965-S1 use the same bios, and the same motherboard, the ux965g-lwv. The BIOS also has extra intel content which occupies the first 8Mb of the SST 25VF016B 50-4C-S2AF 16Mb SPI Serial flash EEPROM. The rom file caused a bit of a stir at first as it was only 8Mb in size much smaller than the EEPROM size of 16Mb. Aopen support helped to clear up this problem very quickly. We could not find an SPI-ISP header on our example of the EU965 we had in for repair, we had to lift the EEPROM to reprogram it. |
