DFI CMOS Reference
DFI product support is excellent. The files you need are easily located and downloaded. DFI are one of the few makers that realise that people want to mod and play with their machines and have come up with some interesting products. They really do seem to understand their customers needs. I have had no issues to date locating the needed files on their support website.
SST 49LF040B
The SST 49LF040B is being used on some DFI boards as a replacement for the 49LF004B. The BIOS used for the 49LF040B is somewhat different to the BIOS for the 49LF004B and should not be used on the 49LF004B chip.
If your motherboard needs the 49LF040B to run the latest BIOS, I have them in stock here in a lead free package. Some DFI boards if already fitted with the SST 49LF004B rev C chip may not work with the new replacement.
