Acer Ferrari 1100
The first example of this machine we came across had an SPI serial flash EEPROM fitted as a CMOS Part.
We were able to replace the CMOS/BIOS part with the SST 25VF016B 50-4C-S2AF. The original CMOS part fitted was a Winbond W25X16VS1G.
If you are unable to restore the CMOS on this machine then you can either send the laptop to us or order a replacement part and fit it yourself.
Great care needs to be taken removing and refitting the part. Hot air Station would be recommended for removal and refitting the EEPROM. The important factor is not to damage the tracks during removal and refitting the device
