Ergo Mercury 2 (L2000)
The first thing we noticed about the Ergo Mercury 2 was the series. When you look at the plate on the rear the laptop is marked as an L2000 series.
The CMOS Part was Labelled L20, 0209G.
When the label was removed it revealed an EON EN29F002NT, which was also soldered in place on the board. Luckily we didnt have to remove the CMOS Part as the first repair we needed to make was the power socket.
The left hand image below is the lower side of the motherboard. The right hand image is the top side of the board.
The CMOS part or BIOS chip is located on the lower side of the motherboard. The images below show the damaged power socket
